Everyone venturing beyond the prepared slopes should carry at least the minimum security equipment: avalanche transceiver - shovel - probe.

I would also encourage you to take an ABS airbag, helmet, etc…

It’s one thing to carry it but another to know how to use it.

If you ski off piste or ski tour regularly, hiring this equipment is not advised. You should get your own transceiver and I recommend you practise using it, preferably on one of my courses.
